Cecil determined to be at York for Frankel
Sir Henry Cecil has vowed to be at York to see Frankel make his debut over 10 furlongs on Wednesday.
Cecil, who has been receiving ongoing treatment for stomach cancer, has not attended a race meeting since Royal Ascot in June and missed Frankel's Sussex Stakes win at Goodwood.
Frankel will take on eight rivals when he steps up a distance over the mile-and-a-quarter Juddmonte International Stakes, and Cecil is determined to be in the grandstands to see his charge bid to extend his unbeaten streak to 13 races.
"Although I have had some medical treatment recently and not been racing because my immune system is low, I have been able to work from home," Cecil said. "I am very hopeful that I will be able to make it to York on Wednesday."
