Hunter's Light continued his climb up the ranks when providing Godolphin with their 200th Group One victory in the Al Maktoum Challenge.

The five-year-old has looked an improved performer this season and he travelled superbly for Silvestre De Sousa before sweeping to the front and powering away to hand Sheikh Mohammed's operation a double century of wins at the top level.

The 201st Group One success arrived a little over 30 minutes later as Sajjhaa, also traned by Bin Suroor, benefited from a brilliant ride from William Buick to land the Jebel Hatta.

The Apache looked booked for first when sweeping down the outside, but Buick threaded a passage on the rail aboard Sajjhaa who ran on willingly to score.

Godolphin struck in the Group Two Burj Nahaar as African Story justified favouritism in comfortable fashion for rider Mickael Barzalona and trainer Saeed Bin Suroor.

Mike De Kock's Shea Shea broke the five-furlong track record when running out an impressive winner of the Meydan Sprint in the hands of Christophe Soumillion.

There was a shock in the Mahab Al Shimaal as last year's Golden Shaheen winner Krypton Factor could only manage second behind Reynaldothewizard.

Ryan Moore brought Jakkalberry with a long, sweeping run down the outside to cut down Await The Dawn and Cavalryman to land the Group Two Dubai City Of Gold for trainer Marco Botti.
