Farhh handed Godolphin a Group One success when running out a hugely impressive winner of the JLT Lockinge Stakes.

The five-year-old spent much of last season looking at the behind of Frankel, but with the superstar now retired Farhh was able to show his true worth.

It was a notable performance as Farhh pulled hard early on, but he was still the only horse travelling two from home.

Declaration Of War was sent off the favourite but he folded tamely once asked for his effort and it was left to Aljamaheer to give chase to Farhh.

But he gave chase from a respectful distance as Farhh simply powered clear in the hands of Silvestre de Sousa.

It proved to be a great day for Godolphin as Willing Foe showed a touch of class to land the JLT Aston Park Stakes.

De Sousa's mount, last year's Ebor winner, was one of a number of runners to pull hard in behind leader Harris Tweed, but it did not stop him going on at the finish as he powered right away in the closing stages in the manner of a classy stayer.

Dundonnell went some way to repairing his reputation with victory in the Coral King Charles II Stakes at Newmarket. Roger Charlton's charge was trounced by Toronado on his seasonal debut, but the drop in class to Listed company saw him get back on track.

It was far from plain sailing as Dundonnell became unbalanced running down into the dip, but he lengthened smartly once meeting the rising ground and was ultimately a comfortable winner.
