Turner released from hospital, Times Up wins again

Leading female jockey Hayley Turner has been released from hospital following her heavy fall at Doncaster on the day Times Up made it back-to-back Doncaster Cup wins.

On Thursday, Turner received medical attention behind on-course screens after being thrown from her mount Seal of Approval, and was then transferred to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where she was kept overnight.

However, Turner's agent Guy Jewell confirmed the jockey had returned home with minor soft tissue damage.

"Hayley has been released from hospital. She's now at home with her mum and is just battered and bruised," Jewell said. "All the tests, CT scans and X-rays came back clear, it's just soft tissue damage."

Times Up stayed on strongly for Ryan Moore to claim its second Doncaster Cup win in as many years, this time for trainer Ed Dunlop, finishing ahead of favourite High Jinx and 20/1 shot Repeater. Times Up was trained by Ed's father John Dunlop when winning in 2012.

Elsewhere, Jim Crowley steered Green Door to victory in the Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes for Olly Stevens, while Silvestre de Sousa scored a quickfire double for Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin on board Ihtimal and Be Ready.

Camborne won the Mallard Stakes for John Gosden and Paul Hanagan enjoyed a 10/1 winner on board Sir Reginald in the penultimate race. Zain Eagle provided James Doyle and Gerard Butler with a clear win in the Frank Whittle Partnership Classified Stakes to end the day.
