Hurricane Fly gets the better of rival Jezki again

Hurricane Fly got the better of old rival Jezki to win a record fifth Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday.
The Willie Mullins-trained charge has won all 10 of his races at the course and extended his world record of Grade One race wins to 22.
Hurricane Fly, ridden by Ruby Walsh, and Jezki were level approaching the final flight but AP McCoy's mount blundered at the last to give his rival victory.
Winning jockey Walsh said: "He didn't travel with the same fluidity as he has done in the past, but I suppose when the going got a little bit tougher going to the second-last he started to pick up.
"When he rounded the bend and I got to AP [McCoy] I was thinking 'how much is he going to find?', but when I saw AP go for his whip I knew I had him covered."
Jezki was eventually beaten on the run-in by another Mullins horse, Arctic Fire, for second place.
