Hello everyone, and welcome to our live text commentary of the Rugby Championship-deciding Bledisloe Cup Test from ANZ Stadium in Sydney. Australian and New Zealand are both unbeaten in this year's abbreviated pre-Rugby World Cup tournament, but the Wallabies have not defeated the All Blacks since 2011 so fair to say the visitors are warm favourites to win today.

Read Sam Bruce's excellent preview here. And take five minutes also to read these two fantastic articles from Greg Growden's exclusive one-on-one interview with Wallabies coach Michael Cheika in the ESPN office: Great players play good all the time about Richie McCaw and Chief challenge between Wallabies' ears about the self-belief he says his players lack against New Zealand.

Which haka will we see?

Ka Mate it is.

1

Here we go. Bernard Foley kicks off. Goes deep and a horror drop from New Zealand. Australia firmly on immediate attack inside 10m. Attack comes to nought as Stephen Moore's little pass goes forward. NZ scrum.

2

Strong scrum Australia but NZ escape and Aaron Smith clears with box kick that Israel Folau fails to collect. NZ also make mistake in contact and charge down sees them back on 22 where they're awarded a penalty to clear.

3

NZ win lineout and set move with double round in backline but go nowhere and David Pocock wins a turnover.

4

Australia go wide and Drew Mitchell knocks on, but pass low.

5

Better scrum NZ, and SBW hit hard first phase and David Pocock effects another turnover at the breakdown. Come shortside and ISrael Folau makes half break but Julian Savea strips the ball.

6

Wonderful first-phase move from NZ scrum, with Aaron Smith, Sonny Bill Williams and Dan Carter creating space for Ben Smith to scythe through midfield and Nehe Milner Skudder being pulled down short.

7

Aaron Smith goes quickly and Sekope Kepu pulls him down but not 10 and earns himself yellow card.

8 0 - 3

Dan Carter give NZ the lead with an easy kick just from right of posts.

9

Australia regather restart but again look to go wide before going forward until Matt Giteau kicks deep for lineout deep inside NZ 22.

10

Aaron Smith clears with box kick but touched so NZ lineout on 10m.

11

Australia kick deep but NZ counter and Nehe Milner-Skudder leaves Stephen Moore for down on right. Pace.

12

Half break from NZ and Sonny Bill Williams just fails to gather pop pass with tryline gaping from 10m. NZ going forward in tight before spinning wide.

13

Australia's clearing kicks a little aimless and too deep, and NZ have space and time to counter, and Kieran Read makes a break on left wing.

14

Australia struggling to make ground with possession and Nick Phipps eventually kicks deep to clear - but too deep and Ben Smith has acres to run into and Stephen Moore concedes penalty that Dan Carter inexplicably kicks dead in goal. Australia scrum back on 10m.

15

Australia set-piece solid enough but Bernard Foley's clearing kick is charged down on second man play; Dan Carter kicks ball into in-goal and and Wallabies just beat the fly-half to the ball. Narrow escape Australia.

16

Nick Phipps clears from breakdown but ball goes to no-one and Australia back deep in 22 before failing to find touch. Back on halfway, where Adam Ashley Cooper makes a try-saving tackle on Owen Franks, smacking the prop to the ground with a four man overlap waiting..

19

Back in NZ territory after Folau roosts aback a poor kick from SBW. Australia really struggling the break NZ rush defence in midfield, while kicks from hand and kick chase is disappointing.

20

Richie McCaw leads a break but the All lacks lose the ball from a pop pass and Tevita Kuridrani launches a counter deep back to NZ terrioty where he's put into touch.

21

All Blacks dominating the game at the minute, with Dan Carter's kicking from hand and strong midfield defence key facets. David Pocock and Michael Hooper are effecting turnovers but that's about all that's good from Australia at the minute. Both teams guilty of handling errors.

22

Australia deep in NZ 22 after David Pocock raids from ball from Dean Mumm, and Matt Giteau crucnched trying to make another break wider. Australia recycle ball and down to 5m in front of posts.

23

Australia scrum after Jerome Kaino steals the ball, but then held up in a maul.

24

Great attacking platform, scrum 5 under posts. Wallabies scrum disrupted by second shove and Kaino penalised for kicking ball out of Pocock's feet. Matt Giteau to kick for goal.

26 3 - 3

Good reward for Australia from first attack into NZ 22.

27

Poot KO from Carter, with ball failing to go 10 - and Scott Fardy charges into NZ half. Wallabies recycle but Aaron Smith crucnches Phipps behind breakdown and wins penalty.

29 3 - 6

Dan Carter's kick from 10m just shaves inside of left upright as he sees it.

30

Bernard Foley kicks off deep but Julian Savea collects easily and breaks. Teams trade steals and Australia on attack on 10m. Owen Franks penalised for not rolling away and opportunity for Australia to equalise immediately. Big battle at the breakdown. Australia just on top but only just.

31

Giteau hits the post and NZ clear through runs from Savea and SBW before Conrad Smith dashes on left flank. Aaron Smith then kicks for territory but goes for too much and Australian lineout back inside NZ 10m.

33

Australia win lineout and attempt two short runs but heavy defence. Israel Folau makes a break slicing defence wide before pulled down 1m from line. Great defence Ben Smith. Australia recycle but Dean Mumm spills a low ball. Missed opportunity. Great work Folau who recognised opportunity inside Romano.

34

Excellent scrum NZ, and Smith finds Carter who clears to halfway. Australia dominating second quarter and need reward but struggling to cope with rush defence.

35

Aaron Smith penalised for going off feet at ruck, and Bernard Foley goes for touch. Australia lineout 15m out, with David Pocock at Half-back, but Wallabies lose lineout. Good work from Luke Romano.

36

NZ win another Australia linout and break using backs from inside 22. Cart ball up to halfway but mistakes both ways and NZ scrum halfway.

38

Solid scrum NZ, and Read feeds Aaron Smith And SBW and NZ down into 22 after Dane Coles steps through defence as he did against Boks.

39

NZ recycle and again and firmly on attack 5m from line. Poor ball out to Julian Savea who is hammered by Michael Hooper. Real trysaver. Cleared of no-arms tackle and that's half-time.

40

Neither side will be happy with levels of execution, and all still to play for. Both sides have had half-opportunities.

40

Back underway with Dan Carter, but fails to go 10m for the second time in the game. Another basic and fundamental error. Owen Franks penalised at scrum, and Australia's set-piece exemplary today.

41

Stephen Moore overthrows again and third lost lineout for Australia allows easy exit.

42

Australia recycle and David Pocock feeds Adam Ashley Cooper, who is hit by a high tackle from Aaron Smith. No arguments about the card. Wallabies now have man advantage but NZ superb under these circumstances past two seasons. Australia for touchl inside 22 and win lineout.

43 8 - 6

David Pocock steers maul but goes nowhere. Recycle and Sekope Kepu smashes through poor defence to score first Test try under advantage after nZ had tried to collapse the maul. Runs under the posts to make easy conversion. Aaron Smith would have been inside rushing Kieran Read, and Sekope Kepu noticed the space.

44 10 - 6

Giteau - conversion

45

NZ spreading ball but now time for Australia to stand firm. Drift defence leaves SBW no option but kick into touch.

46

Australia win lineout but Nick Phipps misses Bernard Foley and NZ now have scrum5.

47

Dan Carter at scrum-half.

48

Australia pressure scrum and Kieran Read picks up at base of wheeling set-piece. NZ rumbling in tight. Game of inches right now. Advancing metre by metre but advance stemmed and Scott Sio penalised offside.

50 10 - 9

Dan Carter on target to become first player in Test history to post 1500 points.

51

Interested to see effect of Matt Toomua at fly-half on Australia's attack. May be more direct.

52

Australia on a roll now, putting phases together to get to NZ 22. Drew Mitchell gets inside 22 after bumping through Laulala.

53

Thirteen phases and Australia lose ball with accidental offside. Conrad Smith taps and goes, and Nick Phipps has two attempted tackles from offside position. Yellow card.

54

Malakai Fekitoa could be a key introduction; and NZ now have the one-man advantage with Aaron Smith pack on the paddock.

55 10 - 14

NZ rumble into Australia territoy, and then Dan Carter makes a short-side break and feeds Ben Smith who puts Nehe Milner Skudder in for a try on debut. Wonderful try.

57

Dan Carter pushes the conversion.

58

Game still here to be won, with neither side enjoying dominance. Bench effects could be crucial. Scott Sio and James Horwill have been immense for Australia, and certainly interesting to see how the replacements go.

59

Matt Giteau at 9 for Australia, and Australia struggling again against the rush defence. Putting ball through phases outside NZ 22.

60 15 - 14

Adam Ashley Cooper has scored a try out of nothing, with Matt Toomua putting a wonderful short kick in behind the defence. Adam Ashley Cooper collects the ball and runs through the tackle of Ben Smith. Great work to step off right foot at pace to ensure Smith did not have easy task to put him into touch.

61 17 - 14

Wonderful conversion from the touchline.

62

NZ back on the attack through the backs after Drew Mitchell failed to find touch, Kieran Rewad running on to the ball to launch the counter.

63

First-phase attack from New Zealand after the scrum. Read, to Aaron Smith to Beauden Barrett to Nehe Milner Skudder who gets over the line at the second time of asking.

64 17 - 19

"Any reason I can't award that try." No reason and Nehe Milner-Skudder has a brace on debut. Australia's defence held off and paid the price.

66

Australia putting the ball through phases, and they win a penalty from 48 metres for offside. Pointless penalty from NZ as Australia were going nowhere at the time.

68 20 - 19

Tremendous kick from Nick White, with the ball clearing the dead ball line.

69

Kurtley Beale collects a long clearing kick from Dan Carter, who monsters the replacement on return at halfway. Australia recycle and Israel Folau puts on some footwork. Australia recycle again but then lose the ball before Michael Hooper smashes Nehe Milner Skudder. Hooper then effects a turnover and sets Australia on attack deep in NZ territory.

70

Wallabies now on attack on 5m under NZ posts. Recycling

71 25 - 19

Nic White goes through weak defence and runs under the posts. All Blacks seemed to relax as forwards were stacked left.

73 27 - 19

White - conversion

74

New Zealand now struggling to make ground against physical Australian defence. Pick n go, pick n go, making short metres at a time. NZ awarded penalty and Dan Carter kicks for touch.

76

NZ win the lineout and rumble but Julian Savea is stopped in his tracks on the charge. NZ scrum.

77

Great scrum from Wallabies, disrupting All Blacks and TJ Perenara knocks on. That's probably the ball game.

79

NZ return the favour on the australian scrum, but Nic White stands firm. Penalty against NZ reversed for ill-discipline by Will Skelton. NZ rumble but Australia effect a turnover.

80

Matt Toomua clears the ball to touch and Australia beat New Zealand for the first time since 2011.
