A spectacular three try performance by former Wallaby captain David Pocock ensured he was the standout Australian player during the ANZAC round of Super Rugby matches. Pocock has been in outstanding form for the Brumbies since his return from injury, and appears destined to regain his Test openside flanker spot this season.

Pocock succeeded in guiding the Brumbies over the line three times from rolling mauls against the Highlanders. He has moved into third spot, within reach of the leader- Reds scrum-half Will Genia, who has been easily the struggling province's most consistent player in their troubled season.

The standout try of the round goes to Force winger Luke Morahan, who was at the end of an excellent maneuver that involved five team-mates and began well in their own half.
