The consistency of Wallabies winger Adam Ashley-Cooper has enabled him to take an early lead in The Growden Medal.

While the prowess of the Wallabies back-row was a crucial factor in them defeating the All Blacks in Sydney, as important was Ashley-Cooper's finishing skills and willingness to do the hard work throughout the game.

Before Ashley-Cooper took advantage of a great Matt Toomua chip-kick to score in the 60th minute, he was involved heavily in midfield defence. Ashley-Cooper has performed creditably in all of Australia's three Tests so far this season.

The Wallabies backrow of David Pocock, Michael Hooper and Scott Fardy were all outstanding against the All Blacks, while Nic White's cameo off the bench was memorable.
