Izzy Noel-Smith's 79th-minute try earned England Women an 8-3 win over Ireland at Twickenham Stoop.

The hosts elected to go for touch rather than kick a penalty as time wound down and were rewarded when Noel-Smith crossed after Abbie Scott had won the line-out from five metres out.

Lauren Cattell had slotted over a first-half penalty to put England in front and Ireland had levelled through a 73rd-minute penalty from their captain Niamh Briggs before the hosts scored the game's only try late on.
