Two changes for Ireland

March 15, 2000

The introduction of Keith Maggs in place of the injured Shane Horgan and a starting place for Rob Henderson are the two changes in the Ireland side, announced on Wednesday, for Sunday's game against France.
Maggs, who scored a try for Bath in their rout of London Irish last weekend has completely recovered from the hamstring injury which has kept him from the side since the defeat by England early last month.
Henderson has been used as an effective second half replacement against both Scotland and Italy and edges out Mike Mullins in the midfield. It will be the Wasps player's first test start since the game against Italy last April.
Amongst the replacements Trevor Brennan and Andy Ward, who was in top form for Ireland 'A' two weeks ago, have been bracketed together, with a decision expected later in the week.
