Johns dropped from Ireland squad

Former Ireland captain Paddy Johns has been left out of the squad for the Six Nations clash against Wales at Lansdowne Road on April 1.

Johns is named in the A squad for the game against Wales A at Donnybrook.His place in the senior squad goes to Jeremy Davidson, who has been promoted from the A panel.

Wing Shane Horgan, whose damaged knee ruled him out of the French clash last Saturday, is the squad along with Kevin Maggs, who took his place in Paris.

Horgan is expected to play for his club Lansdowne in their league match against Garryowen on Saturday.

Trevor Brennan, the St Mary's College flanker, has also been named in the Ireland A squad. Brennan was taken to Paris as cover in case Kieron Dawson'
hip injury flared up, but was not in the final 22.
