Yates rejects Cardiff offer

Former Bath and England prop Kevin Yates has rejected the chance to return to the Northern Hemisphere with Cardiff.

Yates has opted to stay with wellington, and continue in this season's Air New Zealand National provincial Championship rather than add to Cardiff's star studded squad.

"We have been in discussion with Kevin and it is true to say that he was flattered by the offer Cardiff made to him.," said Cardiff's Chief executive David Jenkins told the Western Mail.
"However, he has decided to stay in New Zealand and play on in Wellington," said Jenkins.
