Barclay tastes success on debut
August 11, 2001

England's Ollie Barclay made a successful debut for Bath's first team against Munster on Firday night.

He converted all four of Bath's tries to clinch a 28-20 win ahead of Monday's meeting with Wasps at Thomond Park before they head home.

The side lacking many big names were inspired by new captain, American Dan Lyle who scored one of his side's tries, Tom Voyce, Rob Thirlby and Sam Cox claiming the others.

Munster had taken an early lead but Bath battled back having soaked up a huge amount of pressure, scoring three of their tries in the second half.
