Munster prop Marcus Horan has been cited following an alleged kick during his side's Heineken Cup Pool 5 victory over Llanelli Scarlets at the weekend.

The prop was sin-binned for the alleged offence after coming off the bench during the 22-13 win at Thomond Park which leaves Munster top of the pool going into the final two games away to Clermont and at home to Wasps.

However the Citing Commissioner, Scotland's Bill Dunlop, also saw reason to call him to the judiciary after reviewing the evidence.

European Rugby Chiefs said that the independent Disciplinary Committee would "be appointed as soon as is practicable".

It was Horan's third yellow card of the season after he also got yellow carded in Munster's opening Heineken Cup encounter against Wasps in Coventry on November 10 and again against the Dragons in the Magners League at Musgrave Park on November 24.
