  • Exeter Chiefs have signed flanker Eoghan Grace from Shannon prior to the new Aviva Premiership season. The 22-year-old is a former Munster Academy member as well as an Irish Under-20 and Sevens international.

"Eoghan is a player who I have been following now for quite some time," Chiefs coach Rob Baxter said. "I first started talking to his agent before Christmas when I was looking to add hungry players to our squad.

"He has played some big games for Shannon and probably feels unlucky not to have progressed further in the Munster set-up."

  • Australia's Grand Slam-winning skipper Andrew Slack has been inducted into the Wallabies' Hall of Fame. The centre played 39 times for his country following his debut in 1978 and led them to their northern hemisphere clean-sweep in 1984.

  • Newcastle Falcons have signed promising prop Darren Fearn, 21, on his first professional contract. The Northumbria University student has inked a one-year deal.
