The Western Force have bolstered their backline options for the next Super Rugby season with the signing of centre Winston Stanley.

The 22-year-old midfielder, brother of All Black Benson, has spent the last two seasons with the Blues, making his Super Rugby bow in 2009.

The former New Zealand Under-20 international will head to Perth in November, having completed his ITM Cup duties with Auckland.

"Winston is light on his feet which enables him to win contact and off load and will add something to our attacking game," Force boss Richard Graham said.

"At 22 years of age he is still learning and growing in the game but is also mature in terms of his development having come through a very good system in Auckland.

"He is also an intelligent young man and anyone that you speak to regarding Winston talks about the quality of person that he is and that says volumes about him."
