Samoa have made a solitary change to their starting XV for their decisive Pool D clash with Wales in Hamilton on Sunday.

Ofisa Treviranus replaces Taiasina Tuifua at blindside flanker with the latter dropping to the bench after sustaining a rib injury during Samoa's opening victory over Namibia. On the bench Jeremy Sua replaces scrum-half Junior Poluleuligaga.

"(Tuifua's injury) is not that bad, so that is why we just put him on the bench," Samoa coach Titimaea Tafua said.

Samoa's backline is unchanged with Leicester Tigers winger Alesana Tuilagi, who scored a hat-trick against Namibia, on the left flank while London Irish speedster Sailosi Tagicakibau is on the right wing. Sielala Mapusua and George Pisi reprise their formidable centre combination once again with Gloucester's Eliota Sapolu Fuimaono waiting in reserve.

The forwards also have sizeable reinforcements ready to take to the field with Toulouse's Census Johnston and Castres' Joe Tekori among the substitutes.

Samoa: Paul Williams; Sailosi Tagicakibau, George Pisi, Seilala Mapusua, Alesana Tuilagi; Tusi Pisi Kahn Fotuali'i; Sakaria Taulafo, Mahonri Schwalger (c), Anthony Perenise; Daniel Leo, Kane Thompson; Ofisa Treviranus, Maurie Faasavalu, George Stowers

Replacements: Ti'i Paulo, Census Johnston, Joe Tekori, Taiasina Tuifua, Jeremy Sua, Eliota Sapolu Fuimaono, Tasesa Lavea
