Top 14 side Toulon have confirmed the signing of Leicester and Italy prop Martin Castrogiovanni.

The 31-year-old has long-been linked with a switch to the south of the France but his move has only just been confirmed with the club confirming his capture on their website. Castrogiovanni is listed as just one of a host of fresh faces recruited by the Heineken Cup champions including South Africa wing Bryan Habana, Australia's Drew Mitchell and ex-Bath scrum-half Michael Claassens.

Castrogiovanni's move brings an end to a seven-year spell at Welford Road during which time he helped the Tigers claim four Aviva Premiership titles and two Anglo-Welsh Cups.
