Welsh Rugby
Luke Charteris in mix to face Gloucester

Wales second-row Luke Charteris is nearing a return to first-term rugby for Perpignan and could run out against Gloucester in the Heineken Cup.

Charteris injured his knee ligaments back in December 2012 and has been out of action ever since. The news saw him miss Wales' Six Nations campaign and also the British & Irish Lions tour, a series many predicted him to feature in had it not been for injury.

But Charteris ran out for Perpignan's development side at the weekend and could face Gloucester on Saturday. With 40 caps for Wales to his name, his timely return could see him propelled into the autumn Test reckoning.
