Argentina will play their next round of Rugby Championship Tests against New Zealand and Australia without Pablo Matera, as the outstanding blindside flanker sustained a partial shoulder dislocation in the Pumas' latest defeat by the Springboks in Salta.

Matera will miss at least two matches after an MRI scan confirmed the damage.

Pumas coach Daniel Hourcade, meanwhile, added wing-fullback Juan Imhoff, flanker Benjamin Macome and hooker Santiago Iglesias Valdez to the squad that pushed the Springboks to the limit in Pretoria and Salta,

Argentina play the All Blacks in Napier on September 6 and the Wallabies on the Gold Coast on September 13.
