Newcastle Falcons have signed winger Giovanbattista Venditti on a two-year deal from Zebre.

Venditti, who has won 27 caps for Italy, will arrive at Kingston Park after the Rugby World Cup and will join his former team-mate Sinoti Sinoti at the club.

"I'm really excited about the move and the team, it is a big experience for me and my family and I can't wait," Venditti said. "I really like this pitch and the stadium is beautiful. I'm excited to play and train somewhere like this "Josh [Furno] has told me about the club and what it is like and I am really looking forward to playing here."

Falcons boss Dean Richards added: "Giamba is a strong player with quick feet and good hands who likes to attack space. He is also strong in contact and is going to give us plenty of options next season, with his ability to play both centre and wing."

"He'll arrive with us after Italy conclude the World Cup campaign and we're all looking forward to working with him once he arrives."
