Treviso have confirmed ex-Canada coach Kieran Crowley will be their new head coach for the 2016-17 campaign.

Crowley coached Canada from 2008 through to 2015 and had signed a new deal to continue managing them beyond the previous World Cup but he cancelled that deal to take up the offer from Treviso.

He will bring a wealth of experience to Treviso having played 19 times for the All Blacks and has also held coaching roles at Taranaki and the New Zealand Under-19s side.

Crowley said: "I am very excited and pleased to be the new coach of Benetton Rugby Treviso. I look forward to beginning to work with everyone to help the club to be successful".

Sporting Director Pavanello added: "From me and whole club I want to give the welcome to Kieran Crowley, we are excited to entrust the role of head coach to him, we found in him the experience and feature that we were looking for."
