Chiefs sign Tasman flanker Liam Squire
September 28, 2013

The Chiefs have signed another fresh-faced forward ahead of their 2014 Super Rugby title defence, with Liam Squire impressing enough for Tasman in the NPC to earn a one-year contract with the two-time defending champions.

Squire, 22, has overcome a series of injuries to secure his rugby career. He fractured his spine three years ago, broke an ankle last year and damaged thumb ligaments earlier this season.

Squire rejected a contract offer from Western Force to sign for the Chiefs, whom he will join with another new signing, English lock Matt Symons, in late November.
