Clermont winger Zac Guildford is facing three to four weeks on the sidelines after being attacked late on Saturday night, according to La Montagne.

Guildford was reportedly set upon by a trio when getting a kebab with Welsh team-mate Jonathan Davies and suffered a kick to the face, causing damage to his jaw. Guildford, Davies and their Clermont team-mates had been out celebrating Jamie Cudmore's birthday and the birth of fly-half Camille Lopez's son after their 32-6 win over Racing Metro.

"In this incident, he [Guildford] is the victim," Clermont's sporting director Jean-Marc Lhermet said. "There has been absolutely no reason to reproach him since his arrival. His integration is going well."

The attacks come just six weeks after Aurelien Rougerie, Benjamin Kayser and Julien Pierre were also attacked late at night in Millau.
