The Highlanders will be without Dan Pryor when they take on the Waratahs in Sydney next weekend in the semi-final. Pryor's season is likely to be over after he suffered a dislocated elbow in the Highlanders triumph over the Chiefs in Dunedin.

Pryor was taken off the field in the 61st minute and the Highlanders confirmed on social media on Sunday morning the 27-year-old had suffered the injury and would miss next week's clash. Highlanders head coach Jamie Joseph confirmed Pryor would miss the semi-final clash.

"He's [Pryor] a big loss for us and Alex Ainley's played on a really crook knee, and he's tweaked that again," head coach Jamie Joseph said. "Malakai's scratched his eye. Because it's an eye there's some sensitivity around the area but I think he will be fine."
