Jules Bianchi and Charles Pic have both been hit with 10-place grid penalties for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Both drivers picked up their second reprimands of the season earlier in the Korean Grand Prix weekend, with Pic penalised for missing a call to the weighbridge during Friday practice and Bianchi for holding up Paul di Resta during qualifying. In the race, both drivers were handed another reprimand for failing to slow for yellow flags.

Having each accumulated three reprimands, Bianchi and Pic automatically receive a 10-place grid penalty for the next event. Pic was the first driver to commit the offence and as a result will have his penalty applied first next weekend at Suzuka.

Max Chilton and Giedo van der Garde also received their first reprimands of the season for speeding behind the safety car.

The stewards decided that incidents during the race between Sergio Perez and Felipe Massa required no further action, and also did not punish Adrian Sutil for colliding with Mark Webber after spinning at Turn 3, explaining: "The Stewards noted that the driver of car 15 did not brake later than the drivers around him. His brakes locked causing him to lose control."
