At the end of the month Warren Gatland will name his squad for the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia. For those not involved in next week's European's matches, this weekend's fixtures in the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect PRO12 and Top 14, were the last chance for those hoping to be on the flight Down Under to make a case for their inclusion.

As we all tick off the days until the team depart Down Under, ESPNscrum will cast an eye across the action and pinpoint those players eligible for the elite tourists who are pushing their selection claims with strong performances.

So who has made our latest Team of the Week?

15. Rob Cook (Gloucester)

Was solid as the last line of defence and enjoyed a few forays in attack as Gloucester beat league leaders Saracens 28-23 at Kingsholm.

14. Marland Yarde (London Irish)

Only desperate defence stopped Yarde from getting on the scoresheet, but he gave London Welsh's defence the run around for 80 minutes in their 47-28 victory.

13. Jonathan Davies (Scarlets)

Showed why many commentators have him firmly in the No.13 shirt with an impressive two-try performance as the Scarlets defeated Cardiff Blues.

12. Stuart Olding (Ulster)

Another young talent to come off the Ulster production line, the 20-year-old was an old head on young shoulders and scored a fourth try in six matches during Ulster's victory over Connacht.

11. Jonny May (Gloucester)

The flyer crossed twice against Saracens' miserly defence, as the West Country outfit booked their place in next season's Heineken Cup.

10. Gareth Steenson (Exeter Chiefs)

The Irish play-maker pulled the strings and landed 17 points as the Devonians took a huge step towards returning to the Heineken Cup with victory over London Wasps.

9. Danny Care (Harlequins)

Finishing the season in fine style and helped himself to a brace of tries as the Premiership champions booked their play-off place. An honourable mention too for Ben Youngs who scored a long-range try for Leicester Tigers.

1. Ryan Grant (Glasgow Warriors)

Another powerful performance at the coal face from the 28-year-old as Glasgow held onto top spot and guaranteed their play-off place in the RaboDirect play-offs.

2. Richardt Strauss (Leinster)

Played just over an hour and was heavily involved in Leinster's win away to Zebre. Hit his targets at the line-out, scrummaged hard and was heavily involved at the breakdown.

3. David Wilson (Bath)

A huge performance by the sometime England prop, who was the rock on which Bath built their win over Leicester by stopping the Tigers pack from creating any momentum.

4. Andrew Coombs (Dragons)

Provided a steady stream of line-out ball and was powerful in the loose as the Dragons ended their run of four matches without a win by beating Munster.

5. Damien Welch (Exeter Chiefs)

Was a big presence for the Chiefs as they beat London Wasps. His try early in the second-half was crucial and capped some nifty footwork by the big man.

6. Tom Croft (Leicester Tigers)

Continuing to find his 2009 form; was strong in the line-out and showed a clean pair of heels to Bath fullback Ollie Devoto on his way to a try.

7. Matt Kvesic (Worcester Warriors)

Another impressive performance in a losing cause and if he doesn't get the call from Gatland, then surely Stuart Lancaster will take him to Argentina for England.

8. Ben Morgan (Gloucester)

Back to his barn-storming best and weighed in with a try in Gloucester's win over Sarries. Honourable mention too for Toby Faletau who shone in the Dragons' win.
