The Brumbies' stunning 14-12 victory over the British & Irish Lions in Canberra sees them join an illustrious list of provincial sides to have beaten the northern hemisphere's finest.

Jake White's heroes are the first non-Test side to beat the Lions since the New Zealand Maori claimed a famous scalp in 2005 and the first Australian side to do so since the Wallabies' second string claimed a narrow triumph back in 2001.

They are also the first Australian provincial side to beat the Lions since Queensland in 1971 and only the fourth side to have downed the men in red in the post-war period.
