Bristol sign Edinburgh duo on loan

Bristol have bolstered their resources in the forwards with the signing of Scotland international Ross Rennie and hooker Stuart McInally on loan for the rest of the season.

The duo join from Edinburgh and Alan Solomons hopes the move will help "re-energise" Rennie after a long spell out with knee and shoulder injuries. For McInally, he has recently switched to hooker and in a similar manner to Tom Youngs who joined Nottingham on loan back in 2009 to learn the ins and outs of the front-row, Solomons believes the move will help him become accustomed to his new position.

Solomons said: "Stuart's [McInally] loan spell will allow him to continue his development in a new position in a fiercely competitive, and often forward dominated league."
