In a dour weekend, where Australian teams failed to make any impact, at least Will Genia showed he remains among the most tenacious scrum-halves going around.

Genia was the Australian player of the round, as he attempted to rally his understrength Reds team to victory against the Bulls in Pretoria. He inspired a mini comeback during the second half, through several excellent attacking moves, but in the end he could not do it all on his own.

The best Australian try of the round goes to Reds replacement forward Marco Kotze. Reds centre Samu Kerevi made the break, pushed his way through several tackles, before at the breakdown placing the ball perfectly for Kotze to pounce and score.

Nic White has taken over the Medal lead from Rebels utility Mike Harris, after the Brumbies scrumhalf tallied points in his fifth match this season
