Three of Sale Sharks' Welshmen have all re-signed with the Edgeley Park side.

Scrum-half Dwayne Peel, fly-half Nick Macleod and hooker Marc Jones have all committed to Sale on new deals. With Richie Gray and Eifion Lewis Roberts signing for Steve Diamond's side, the Sharks are putting the finishing touches to their squad for next season.

Peel - whose deal is said to be for two-years - has a rich international history and has made his mark on the domestic scene for the Sharks since his move in 2008. And Peel is looking forward to being a part of the revolution under Diamond. Peel said: "I'm delighted to extend my contract. I'm having a good time here. Exciting times lie ahead and I'll be glad to be part of it."

Macleod also joined in 2008 and despite reported interest from the Cardiff Blues, has decided to stay at the Sharks. Macleod said: "It's fantastic news for me: I'm extremely happy to extend my contract. This season has seen a real turnaround, and has rekindled my enthusiasm. We've shown glimpses of what we can do, and things can only get better!"

And Jones is relishing turning out alongside Sale's new signings next term. "Sharks are definitely a club going in the right direction, something I want to be part of," Jones said. "With some big signings coming in, there's only one way this club's going. I'm looking forward to working with Richie Gray at the lineout, and it'll be great to have Eifion next to me again in the front row."

Sharks' CEO Diamond added: "When I came back twelve months ago, I didn't know Dwayne, Nick or Marc. I soon got to know them, and they're all awesome players who fit into the squad fantastically well. I'm really glad they've agreed to extend."
