Warren Gatland has dismissed reports claiming he would be open to an approach from England, according to WalesOnline.

Gatland, who remains under contract with the WRU until 2019, guided Wales to the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup last month and has since declared he's not interested in the England vacancy.

"I'm not interested in the England job," Gatland told WalesOnline.

WRU chairman Gareth Davies also expects the New Zealander to remain in the job until the next World Cup, insisting both parties are content with the current situation.

"Warren is happy in Wales and as far as I am concerned he isn't going anywhere," Davies also told WalesOnline. "He is staying with us until 2019.

"We have not had an approach from the RFU to speak to Warren. As he is under contract to us for the next four years, anyone wishing to speak to him would be obliged to seek permission from us first.

"That has not happened, we want to keep him and as far as I am concerned he is staying with us until 2019. England may have ambitions of winning the World Cup in four years but so do we."

Gatland's next task is to prepare Wales for the Six Nations, with their first fixture coming against Ireland on February 7 at the Aviva Stadium.
