Great Britain's world 400m hurdles champion Dai Greene has set his sights firmly on a clean sweep by winning gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

Greene has now won gold at the Commonwealth, European and World Championships, leaving the Olympic title as the only medal missing from his locker. At 25 years of age, it is even feasible that the Welshman could be well-placed to win multiple Olympic medals if he is able to continue competing until 2016.

His recent success in Daegu provides yet more proof that Greene knows how to peak at the right time, beating off the likes of Javier Culson, LJ van Zyl and Bershawn Jackson to win gold. That bodes particularly well for the biggest moment of his life, which will come in London next year.

"It is a massive incentive to know that I am one win away from a clean sweep of all the medals but you are never going to be short of motivation when you are talking about a home Olympics," Greene said.

"I am already looking forward to running in what looks like a brilliant stadium in front of a packed house. I can't wait, it will be a very special event to be a part of."

Perhaps most frightening for Greene's rivals is that he believes he messed up his strongest part of the race, the penultimate bend, en route to claiming the world title. Such an error, he believes, is easily rectifiable.

"Going into it I wanted to run a very quick first 200m," Greene revealed. "I managed to do that but the bend up to 300m, which is normally my best part of the race, was not so good and I left myself with a bit to do.

"But I felt that I could win that race from anywhere. I didn't let the other guys get away from me, I knew I could reel them in, my legs felt really strong and I came through to take it."
