Murray has Federer plan in mind

Andy Murray will look to execute his Wimbledon final gameplan when he takes on Roger Federer for Olympic gold on Sunday.

Murray produced a sizzling display to topple former world No. 1 Novak Djokovic as the gloom descended over SW19.

The British No. 1 sent the partisan crown into raptures during and after the contest with his sizzling tennis and cheerleader antics.

He may have to put in an order for new shirts given he tossed plenty to the crowd following his 7-5 7-5 win and he has admitted he got carried on a tide of emotion.

"That's probably the most emotional I've ever felt on a tennis court," Murray said. "I have always said the atmosphere at the US Open is the best but that was fantastic tonight.

"It was totally different from anything I have ever experienced. The Olympics just has a different feel to it. It's probably the most fun I've ever had."

Up next is the small matter of Federer, a man who has beaten him in three grand slam finals - the most recent being at Wimbledon last month.

Federer had to come through an epic semi-final with Juan Martin Del Potro and Murray feels the tactics that were not good enough at Wimbledon may get the job done in the battle for gold.

"It is great to know I will get at least a silver medal but anyone who knows me knows how much I'll be going for gold," Murray said.

"I won't do anything different to when I played Roger at Wimbledon. I played well then and this time I'm determined to get the win and the gold."
