Beth Tweddle has ruled out a fourth tilt at Olympic glory in Rio, with the British gymnast claiming her bronze medal on home soil is the perfect way to sign off her career.

Having come up agonisingly close in previous Olympics, the three-time world champion delivered a bronze on the uneven bars.

There was widespread celebration at the North Greenwich Arena and Tweddle feels there is nothing left for her to achieve in the sport.

"I just finished my career perfectly," the 27-year-old said. "I had every other title to my name and this was the one thing missing.

"It's the best feeling in the world. I'd have been devastated to miss out again.

"I really wanted to finish my career with an Olympic medal.

"I'm definitely not going to Rio in 2016. My body won't hold up that long."
