McLaren race drivers Jenson Button and Sergio Perez will not take part in this week's test at Silverstone, leaving the running to Kevin Magnussen, Oliver Turvey and Gary Paffett.

The three-day Young Driver Test, which starts on Wednesday, is open to race drivers providing they stick to a run plan decided by tyre supplier Pirelli. New tyres, set to be raced for the first time in Hungary, will be in use this week at Silverstone but McLaren has opted not to run either Button or Perez.

Instead test drivers Magnussen, Turvey and Paffett will each get one of day of running, allowing the team to dictate its own run plan each day. The three shared the McLaren at last year's three-day Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi.
