Nico Rosberg admits he finds it difficult to take advice from his father Keke, despite the fact he has his own championship-winning experience from 1982.

Rosberg would join Damon Hill as a second generation Formula One champion were he to win it this year.

"No," Rosberg said when asked if he has asked for advice from his father about this year's title fight. "I mean he doesn't really give advice in that regard. If he does it's not so easy to take the advice. In hindsight I would always take it but in the first moment it's never so easy to just accept it, I'll often try to argue the point. My dad is really wise and gives me advice in a lot of respects, more from the management side from what he sees and all that. Sometimes he'll make comments about what he thought about strategies and decisions like that."

After seeing Hamilton win four races in a row between Malaysia and Spain Rosberg has battled back to lead the championship by 29 points, winning in Monaco and Austria. But Rosberg says he has not done anything differently, and that he knows the importance of keeping his recent run of form alive for as long as possible.

"I would just say its momentum, it comes and goes. Recently I've had the better rhythm, had the results and more things going right than wrong. There's no specific thing you can put it down to. I've not changed my approach in any way. It has been on my side recently and I need to make the most of it because it comes and goes, I need to prolong it and keep it going.

"At the same time I don't really think about it being Lewis' home race here, I see it more as our home race for the team and I want to do the best job possible because I know it can be a great gift to all my colleagues if I can win here like last year, plus of course I'm trying to beat Lewis like everywhere else."
