Norbert Haug has again confirmed Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher will stay at Mercedes in 2011 but also revealed the team is looking to recruit some new talent ahead of next season.

Mercedes has had a difficult return to F1 since taking over the championship-winning Brawn team over the winter. It is currently a solid fourth in the constructors' championship but has lost ground to its rivals as the season has progressed.

Haug said that next season would see the team mount a more serious challenge on the title, but to do so might require some new members of staff.

"In 2011 we will make a step forward," he told the Cologne newspaper Express. "So we need to have the best possible staff, which may include some new people."

Amid rumours of divisions at the team and that Ross Brawn or Michael Schumacher might leave, Haug insisted the team's big names are going nowhere.

"In 2011 the drivers are Michael and Nico Rosberg," He added. "And we believe in Ross and his team. We just know what victory feels like, so perhaps we are sometimes a bit grumpy."

However, he said that Mercedes would not just simply throw money at the problem: "Of course we could put another €10 million into F1, but we don't want to."
