Jessica Ennis is fit and raring to go ahead of the World Indoor Championships in Doha.

The world heptathlon champion is looking to add an indoor pentathlon title to her growing list of accolades, but after a stunning start to the season, her preparations were hampered by a foot injury which forced her to withdraw from the UK Championships in Sheffield and the Birmingham Grand Prix.

Ennis broke the British record for the 60 metre hurdles and set a new indoor personal best in the high jump in Glasgow in January, but suffered slight ligament damage to her foot, restricting her to low-impact training. But she insists she has returned to full fitness and is confident that the injury will not hinder her quest for the indoor crown.

"I've been running flat out, hurdling, jumping, doing everything and it's all fine," she said. "Obviously it's not the preparation that I had planned. I wanted to compete a little bit more before Doha. I wanted continuity and to train a little bit more. I had to make some changes but I'm nearly there and ready to go to Doha."

And despite the setback, Ennis is raring to go and confident she can continue where she left off. "My sessions are really positive, my times are really good, and sometimes a little bit of a rest isn't always a bad thing," she said.

The World Indoor Athletics Championships begin on March 12. Watch the action on ESPN.
