Harrison still smarting at Haye snub

Audley Harrison is looking to muscle in on David Haye's bid to take on the Klitschkos, with the Brit still seething from a snub delivered to him by Haye.
The 2000 Olympic champion Harrison's career is heading into the last chance saloon, as defeat to Michael Sprott this week would leave him with nowhere to turn. He is not contemplating losing, rather he fancies challenging Wladimir Klitschko later in the year.
"The one I really want is Wladimir Klitschko - Olympic gold medallist v Olympic gold medallist," Harrison said. "Beating Haye would be a blockbuster fight but it doesn't give me the substance that beating a Klitschko would - that would seal my legacy."
Harrison appeared destined for greatness after landing Olympic gold, but his career was derailed by defeat to Danny Williams in 2005 and a further defeat to Martin Rogan in 2008 saw him ask Haye for help. He hoped to be given the chance to gain a foothold, but nothing came his way and it clearly still causes him unrest.
"I was the house fighter at the BBC and I put David on my shows," Harrison told the Times. "I laid out the red carpet to him. When I lost to Martin Rogan, I said, 'Let me come on your undercard now you have a show with Setanta,' and David didn't even phone me.
"We had been buddies, we did everything together. I remember one time I was in Tenerife in a big party, David flew out and slept on the floor. I took him under my wing. I thought we were there for each other, to help each other out, but I realised that wasn't really the case."
