Trout gets 190th hit in Texas
Los Angeles Angels centre fielder Mike Trout has become only the third major league baseball player since 1900 with 190 hits, 100 walks and 30 stolen bases in the same season.
Trout got his 190th hit on a home run in the first inning of Los Angeles' season-ending game at Texas Rangers in Arlington on Sunday, which they eventually lost 6-2.
The only other players to reach all those marks in the same season were Ty Cobb in 1915 and Lenny Dykstra in 1993.
It was the 27th homer of the season for 22-year-old Trout, who was already the first player in AL history with 25 home runs, 30 stolen bases and 100 walks in a season.
