Diddy wants to own NFL team

Hip-hop artist Sean 'Diddy' Combs has implored people to "Vote or Die," claimed to "Run The City" in order to raise money for his New York City Marathon run and rapped that "can't nobody hold me down," and now he's on a new mission - to become the "first African-American majority owner" in the NFL.
"I'm more of an owner type of guy," the mogul said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. "So I have aspirations to become - it will happen - to become the first African-American majority owner. Not having a small stake but actually owning an NFL team. I think it's time for that. A majority of the players in the NFL are African-American but there are no African-American owners. So that's one of my dreams."
Diddy wouldn't be the first rapper-turned-owner, but as he said, he wants to be the first majority owner. Musicians Nelly, Usher and even Diddy's former flame Jennifer Lopez all have had minor stakes in various professional franchises across the NBA and NFL.
Rapper Jay Z has even made waves by starting his own sports agency. Roc Nation Sports count such marquee players as Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder among their clients.
Diddy, however, said becoming an agent isn't for him.
"When I see my friend [Jay Z] having a sports agency, I support him," Diddy said. "When I get the calls, 'Oh, we need to do Bad Boy Sports,' I'm like, 'No, that's not my lane.' I stay in my lane. This is my lane I want to do. I'm just me. I do my own thing."
