Great Britain swimmer Lizzie Simmonds continued an impressive run of form in the pool with two silver medals and a bronze at the seventh leg of the World Cup in Tokyo.

It marks successive three-medal hauls for Simmonds, who enjoyed a trio of podium places three days earlier at leg six in Singapore.

The Brit endured an agonisingly close 50m backstroke final, finishing 0.01 seconds off Brazil's Etiene Medeiros, who took gold.

It did not appear to faze Simmonds, who went on to finish second in the 200m backstroke before she settled for bronze in the 100m.

London 2012 silver medallist Michael Jamieson, who had finished in the top three in all six legs beforehand, took bronze in the 200m breaststroke.

Sophie Allen won finished third in the 200m individual medley to claim bronze. The eighth and final leg of the World Cup 2013 takes place in Beijing on November 13.
