Sweden avenged their March world title loss to defeat Scotland 11-5 and claim the European Curling Championship women's title in Norway.

Scotland enjoyed victory in all of their nine round-robin games, including a 7-6 win over the Swedes, before Eve Muirhead's side lost out in the final.

Earlier this year, Muirhead and Scotland downed the Swedes 6-5 in Riga to be crowned world champions. However, Margaretha Sigfridsson led her side to revenge in Stavanger with an impressive showing.

The scores were level at 4-4 after the sixth end, but Sweden finished strongly to complete a comfortable win. Elsewhere, Switzerland took the bronze medal following a 6-4 victory over Denmark.
