England heavily beaten by Australia
England's hopes of winning the World League Final in Argentina were crushed as they suffered a 3-0 loss to Australia in the last four.
After securing a 1-0 victory over China in the quarter-finals on Thursday, England could not deny Australia a place in the final, and would have conceded more goals had it not been for goalkeeper Maddie Hinch making numerous saves.
Jodie Schulz struck the opening goal for Australia three minutes before the break - this after England's claims for a deflected shot off an Australian player were turned down by the video referee.
Georgie Parker then doubled the lead for Australia, with Karrie McMahon sealing the win in the second half.
England will now be playing in a third-place play-off on Sunday.
