Floyd Mayweather Jnr v Shane Mosley moves closer

Floyd Mayweather Jnr is interested in fighting World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley, according to the chief executive of the company that promotes both boxers.
Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, has vowed to do all in his power to make the contest happen.
"I'm going to do whatever I can to pull it off," he said. "Mayweather is interested and so, of course, is Shane. Now it's a matter of negotiating the right deal structure that makes everyone happy. I'm cautiously optimistic we can put something together. It would be a great fight, a long-anticipated fight."
Mosley is seeking a new opponent after his January 30 showdown with World Boxing Council welterweight title holder Andre Berto was postponed due to the latter losing relatives in the Haiti earthquake. "As a result of this disaster, I am mentally and physically exhausted and therefore I have no choice but to withdraw from my bout," Berto said.
Mayweather Jnr's proposed March bout against Manny Pacquiao was called off following a protracted dispute about blood testing.
