Schleck holds off Armstrong to win Tour of Switzerland

Lance Armstrong raced up the leaderboard at the Tour of Switzerland on Sunday, but his bid for the title fell just short as Frank Schleck scooped the overall win.
Armstrong was seventh overall going into the final stage, but he surged into contention by finishing 11th in the 16.6-mile time trial around Liestal.
Although he came up agonisingly short in the general classification, ending up in second, Armstrong shrugged off the disappointment - preferring instead to talk up his chances of continuing his good form to claim a triumph at the Tour de France.
"Third in (the Tour of) Luxembourg, second in Switzerland, I'll do the math for the next race," Armstrong said. "All I have to do now is stay healthy and find that extra one percent."
Schleck began the day at fourth in the overall classification, but he secured the win by finishing 13th in the time trial. "I surprised myself because I'm not a time trial specialist," Schleck said. "But with [brother] Andy we did a specific work to improve in time trials and it paid off."
Tony Martin won the trial, ahead of Fabian Cancellara - who finished second - and David Zabriskie.
