Armstrong announces final Tour de France

This year's Tour de France will be the final curtain call for the glittering career of Lance Armstrong.
The seven-time winner of the world's most famous bike race has confirmed this year's race, which begins on Saturday, will be his last Tour.
"This will be my final Tour de France," Armstrong wrote on his Twitter page. "It's been a great ride. Looking forward to three great weeks."
Armstrong will lead his RadioShack team when the race begins on Saturday, but the signs are not positive for an eighth win following a lacklustre season. He has been slow to find form and was forced to retire from the Tour of California following a nasty crash.
The American has had a stunning career, having beaten cancer in 1998 before going on to win the Tour seven times in a row from 1999-2005. He ended a three-year spell in retirement last year to take third place in last year's Tour. The two men who finished above him 12 months ago, winner Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck are viewed as his main rivals for yellow this time round.
