Olympic skeleton champion Lizzy Yarnold won her second gold in as many days after victory at the European Championship in Austria.

Yarnold, 26, followed up her World Cup triumph on Saturday with another win on the same track less than 24 hours later.

After winning Great Britain's only gold medal in Sochi last year, Yarnold's latest successes have lifted her to third in the world rankings.

"I was actually quite tired going into the second run because this is our fifth week on the road so it is a bit of an endurance race," said Yarnold.

Britain was also represented by Laura Deas and Rose McGrandle, who finished sixth and eighth respectively on Saturday.

"I have to give a big shout out to Laura and Rose," Yarnold added. "We help each other along the way. We have such a good strong programme in Britain."
