England's Alison Williamson has picked up her second silver medal of the Commonwealth Games after losing the women's individual recurve final to Indian archery prodigy Deepika Kumari on Sunday morning.

The home crowd was enthralled by 16-year-old Kumari's stunning performance, which really left Williamson with little hope as the gold medal tie ended 3-0.

In the semi-finals, Williamson knocked out another local in Dola Bannerjee, gaining some national revenge after Bannerjee had earlier eliminated England's Amy Oliver amid more unsportsmanlike jeers from the crowd as experienced by the girls in the team event.

In better news for England, the netball team is through to the semi-finals after thrashing Papua New Guinea 89-31.

In a true mismatch, England led 44-12 at half time and will most likely need to beat Australia in the final four to reach the gold medal match.
